Not on clothing and bags only, but also on nails, as eye shadow or mascara, on shoes, bijoux and the whole range of accessories: gray is the Winter trend. 

Refined and delicate gray can be worn alone but is also prefect with every combinations giving always a polished and elegant look. It’s chic with black or white and stylish with trendy colours like navy. 

It has been proposed by several fashion houses and designers such us Ice Iceberg for its sheath dresses, in sparkling version by Gucci on the clothes and matt on the New Jackie bags, on the retrò style Ermanno Scervino coats, rock on the Cesare Paciotti studded boots.

Spring and summer 2009 are more colourful than ever! This new season it’s not only solid colours but as well mixed colours in floral prints and see-trough fabrics which makes it even more light and expressive!

Colour has been essential on the international catwalks this S/S! Florescent colours, birght colours, dark colours every possible and imaginable colour is great and top fashion this year. But the largest part were though orange, green in different shapes, sky blue, light blue and pink to red. An especially popular new comer this spring is yellow that shocked the catwalks!

Versace made different beautiful yellow and sky blue creations this S/S that can’t go unobserved!

The Moschino Cheap&Chic collection have some amazing dresses in ocean green, clear blue and pink in different fabrics, in silk but also some made with mixed fabrics like cotton and see-trough fabrics.

Designers like Alberta Ferretti and Gucci this year have put together different shapes of purple such as violet, plum, lavender and lilac. Because purple is still top fashion this season as we can see all over the catwalks!

The collaboration between Giorgio Armani and Alicia Keys is now settled. The renowned Italian designer and the world-famous pop star are very close tanks to a strong friendship. Alicia loves the elegant and contemporary style of Armani who has dresses her on several occasions and designed her entire “As I am tour” wardrobe.

For her exhibitions Alicia will wear garments of the Armani’s collections that have been realized for her and the dancers on several colours. Among the creations of the designer there is a crocodile waistcoat, with Swarovski crystals, to be worn with the jeans Armani dedicated to her.

Dancers and musicians will wear a range of garments of the Emporio Armani collection.

Christian Dior will dress the Hungarian actress Andrea Osvart for the first evening of the Festival di Sanremo. It’s the first time the French maison go on stage at the Ariston theatre.

For Bianca Guaggero the Florentine designer Roberto Cavalli has designed some evening gowns that have been realized exclusively for the occasion.

The designers that will dress the two actress are seven in all. The names that are already known, besides Christian Dior and Roberto Cavalli, are Versace and the fashion house Gianfranco Ferrè.

The new Roberto Cavalli’s collection in a tribute to the ‘70s, properly reconsidered according to innovation. Innovations into style, patterns, matches, prints and materials. The flamingo printed blouse with the python-skin mini skirt is one example. Wide-leg trousers, puff sleeve blouses, lurex long dresses, mini skirts and printed tights are the key pieces of the Just Cavalli wardrobe for 2008/09 fall-winter.

A blaze of emotions, elegance, fashion, celebrities (such as Liucy Liu, Uma Thurman and Claudia Chiffer) and for the finale a blaze of red. All that can describe the Valentino’s Haute Couture fashion show of, with which the famous designer said goodbye to fashion.

The 74 dresses that was shown on the catwalk celebrated, each one, the life and the story of the maison and his founder from the Sixties up to the present. The show ended with a marvellous parade of one red gown shown by several models.

We are sure that Alessandra Facchinetti, who has shown her talent during the experience at Gucci, will do a grate job. We also know that certainly we will miss a lot his predecessor, Valentino, who had been holding the reins of the maison for 45 years.

Let’s continue our review of the new 2008 spring summer ad campaigns that, since January have started filling the pages of fashion magazines all over the world. Christian Dior maison has chosen Jessica Stam and Coco Rocha, photographed by Craig McDean, for its campaign. The whole ad is pervaded with thirties fashion while the first thing that attracts attention is the predominance of black and white.

Alessia Marcuzzi, the presenter of the 8^th edition of the Italian “Big Brother”, has chosen the elegance of the designer Alberta Ferretti. She has already worn a dress from the Alberta Ferretti’s 2008 s/s collection and a coat from the f/w one in occasion of the press conference. For the whole edition of the TV show she will wear exclusively dresses and accessories of the new spring-summer collection by Alberta Ferretti.

Giorgio Armani dedicates his Emporio Armani collection to the respect for the human being and his beauty, to the pure passions, the return to values and to the real elegance. Warm and roomy garments are the protagonist of the 2008/2009 fall winter men’s collection, for the city as for the mountain. The main piece is blazer, to be worn with full trousers  in jogging-style. Accessories are protagonist in this collection as they literally cover man from head to foot.

January, 13: second day of catwalks in Milan. Lars Nilsson begins as the new Ferrè fashion house’s art director with the 2008/2009 fall-winter collection for men. The Swedish designer has chosen to turn the usual catwalk into an apartment that would be ideal for a cultivated, modern-day man like the one the collection is created for. It’s a first calm and at the same time definite, attempt for Nilsson.

There will be a real show, of fashion and music, for the Roberto Cavalli runway that is taking place today in Milan. The designer has asked Francesco Sarcina, the frontman of the Italian band “Le Vibrazioni”, to sign the soundtrack that will follow his men’s collection.

The 14 minutes composition, “Funky Horse”, has been written and produced by Sarcina who will sing in English for the occasion and will be followed by unusual instruments like the percephone and the xilofono.

And that’s not all! The Spice Girls will be present at the show, as exceptional guests. The girl-band has worn outfits realized by Roberto Cavalli during his whole tournèe.

We had presented first the Roberto Cavalli’s new ad campaign, now we’ll introduced the Prada’s spring/summer 2008 ad.

The photographs have been realized by the photographer Steven Meisel and feature the Russian model, Sasha Pivovarova.

Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2008 ad campaign stars Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy, and Eva Herzigova (model for the brand since 2006) and brings the Inez & Vinoodh’s signature. The shots portray ethereal but by no means innocent women, surrounded by the powerful colors of the background, like the neon swimming pool lights tone in the background. Animal prints have been replaced by flowers, bright colors, hippy and country style.
