Elegant and bright blue is the most in fashion colour this year. It was appreciated last Summer in all of its vibrant and powerful shades, and in Winter blue is still one of the most desired colours.

Fall/Winter collections 09/10 of several fashion houses, such as Dior and Versace, are full of this colour that is a perfect alternative to the more classic black. So against the conviction that want this colour as a Spring/summer nuance here they come knit dresses, coats, sweaters, bags and shoes with different blue tones, from the most delicate ones to the strongest.

Worn alone for the whole outfit or in combination with other colours, with a touch of red or white blue will be a success for our Holiday looks.

The last born at Dior fashion house, Granville tote bag (called after the hometown of Christian Dior), has soon became an it-bag. The Dior Grandville tote is realized in fine leather with the Cannage texture, typical of the maison and it is available in different variants like the brown one and sizes.

Like every it-bag the Dior Granville Tote, you can se it carried by the coolest celebrities. Some of them, loving particularly this tote, are Demi More, who carries it by the handles, like an handbag, the trend-setters Mischa Barton and Blake Lively, that prefer to use the detachable strap and worn the bag as a shoulder bag and the fashionable mum Jessica Alba.

Elegant thank to its sober aspect the Dior Granville tote is a timeless object. Classic and minimalist as much as charming and sophisticated it is intended to resist to the fashion changes.

A fusion between the new ethnic spirit and the traditional research of refine materials are the base for the new Dior Savane Chic bags and accessories collection.

The particulars of the bags, created for this spring/summer 2009, are their so cured and polished look where every part of the bag’s surface is taken in consideration. It’s the small but so cured details, like the metallic buckles, buttonholes and decorations that makes these bags unique and so wanted.

An other wonderful host of the event was Demi Moore that chose Christian Dior too. The actress wore a long, soft and powder pink coloured dress with a cross on the neck, belonging to the Christian Dior 2009 spring-summer collection.

Here is one of the first shoots from the new ad campaign that has been recently realized for Dior. The new testimonial of the Lady Dior Bags collection is Marion Cotillard.

The French actress, famous thank to the movie La vie en rose of 2007, substitutes a previous great testimonial such as Monica Bellucci who maintains her role as the face of the maison Christian Dior but for the ad campaign of the fragrance Dior Hypnotic Poison.

Chic or folk, the new trend for bags comes straight from Russia and its aristocracy. As a matter of fact, Dior created the new Karenina collection and Gucci with its Babouska accessories.

Last year we got caught with the Dior Samurai collection, and this year with the Karenina collection with bags already considered a “must have” for celebrities and non.

The Dior Karenina bag is made out of crocodile or in leather, and it shows its peculiar old appearance. Witty designer John Galliano is the creator of this bag. The leather presents a crimped appearance which is obtained after a precise manufacturing. Rigid and semi circular handles with the typical pendant of the Dior maison, the Dior Karenina bag makes guarantees elegance to every style, paying a tribute to the famous character of Toltoj.

Among its fans: Claudia Schiffer and Christina Aguilera.

In conclusion, either the Christian Dior Karenina, or the Gucci Babouska keep faith to the peculiar style of their maisons.

Actress Charlize Theron, one the most sensual celebrities in Hollywood, provided us lots of glamorous images, a proper red carpet star. Oscar winner for “Monster” thanks to her extraordinary performance, Charlize Theron, not only a talent actress, but one of the most elegant and glamorous women of the jet set.

As for us, she certainly is the best dressed star of 2008. We do like her for her style, always careful to the most up to date fashion trends, and never excessive. Charlize Theron often posed for famous fashion houses and cosmetics, and on the red carpet he can boost herself with style.

Among her recent outfits, we have been admiring her passion for French Roger Vivier and Christian Dior along this year, and Italian Donatella Versace and Miuccia Prada.

Dior: designer John Galliano looks after the outfit of the actress for international events and movie premiers.

Versace and Gucci: For the Venice festival her dresses were fabulous.

In a season where the 50ees and the 60ees are in the fore front after making the history of fashion, no fashion house paid such a high tribute the 60ees like Christian Dior did.

If the Gucci collection is a tribute to the extreme folk by the 70ees, John Galliano picks the glamour of the 60ees by drawing for Dior a Mrs. Robinson able to be chic night and day. And it’s exactly on the tunes of Simon&Garfunkel “Mrs. Robinson” that the Christian Dior fashion parade we saw last February went on.

Bon ton sheaths, bell-shaped coats, Prince of Wales or hound’s tooth dresses and tailleurs, is what women are dressed of by day. From trapezium to round shapes, wool neutral colours such as grey leaving the floor to amazingly printed silk fabrics ready to welcome the night among frills and precious lace.

Venezia Film Festival officially opened on the 27th of August. After the overture ceremony of the previous night, first media event caught the attention on Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Tilda Swinton all posing on a photo call for the presentation of their last movie, “Burn after reading”.

Tilda Swinton wore a Christian Dior dress for the press conference. It was a particular yellow dress enriched with coloured details and orange and turquoise appliqués.

Actress Tilda Swinton picked in fact an Alberta Ferretti long pleated mustard colour dress for the red carpet.

Alberta Ferretti style has been picked by Claudia Schiffer too, who wore an elegant pearl grey one shoulder dress for the premier.

It’s raining purple on the fall-winter 2008/09 fashion. It’s been a while since purple became one of the trendiest colours of the world of fashion after a gloomy period.

Thanks to its strong soul, purple can be easily used either as a colour on its own, or creating wierd and unusual matchings with a strongly positive impact, or, then again, with various nuances. Chameleonic colour, it pleases different styles performing either softer tonalities or darker, according to the different seasons.

Christian Dior, Alberta Ferretti and Emilio Pucci picked purple for their fall-winter coming fashion shows making the most out of this incredible colour which, together with its nuances, is going to be the trendiest of next cold season.

Summer is at its peak and cold seasons not very close yet. Nonetheless, when it comes to fashion, stars don’t even care about climatic situations.

The red carpets of the most glamorous and posh events, from spring till now, have been a perfect fashion show, and not just for the spring - summer creations. Movie premieres, parties, kermesse and fahion events have been the occasions to show off in advance the new fall - winter 2008/09 collections of which stars enjoyed straight away, while ordinary people will have to wait for them to be accessible.

Roberto Cavalli’s fall - winter collection was a hit among stars. Lucy Liu, Ester Canadas and Leona Lewis have already been wearing over hot seasons numerous Cavalli‘s creations.

Brasilian Isabel Fonatana for Versace, posing for Roberto Cavalli and Valentino too, wears a very geometric dress with vertiginous high wheels, extremely coherent with the mood of the fashion house. Mario Testino took care of the shots.

Fendi prefers a metropolitan style, New York is the background for the new campaign realized in April at the Madison Square Garden, guided by Karl Lagerfeld, and testimonial Raquel Zimmermann.

For Dior, Model Daria Werbowy beauty has been captured by photographer Craig Mcdean. She wears an orange tailleur with three quarter sleeves and the 61 Bag with half circle and rigid handle round her arm perfectly in harmony with the 60s style of the Christian Dior fall - winter collection 2008/09.

Style and elegance are distinctive signs of Christian Dior. Mix Dior’s elegance to the charming Charlize Theron and the result is, obviously, stunning! The dress, from the Christian Dior autumn collection, has been worn by the actress for the premiere of the movie “Hancock”, directed by Peter Berg and also starring Will Smith

Stunning cover girl for June, the actress Kim Cattrall, the well known Samantha from the famous series Sex & the City wears a fantastic sheath dress by Christian Dior. There are three covers for this edition of the fashion magazine, all dedicated to the fascinating actresses of Sex & the City the movie which is gathering thousands and thousands of fans to the cinemas worldwide.

Our complete approval goes to Kim Cattrall and her Dior dress. The dress is a Christian Dior creation for the autumn collection 2008, comprehensive of shoulder straps, crossing low neckline and a violet flowery fantasy. A sensual and sophisticated dress, as sophisticated as the actress and her glamorous character.
