All spring summer collection 2008 on sale in our store online and in our seven boutiques in Palermo starting from tomorrow. As the hot season is at its peak and maybe lots of you are not on holiday yet, grab this exceptional occasion!!
Swimming suites and bags for the sea to be glamorous on the beach, fresh and light dresses when it’s too hot in town, and, still to come, many bags, shoes for a superb summer style and lots more. All this is going to be on for a while this summer and from now on shopping is a good deal !!!

Two tough sentences condemning the selling of fake products from stalls or online are an important step to protect the  buyers and the traders from fakes.
The recent sentence condemned Ebay to pay a huge fine to the Luis Vuitton maison because of fake merchandise sold from the website
The judge estimates that the percentage of fakes raise up to 90% on the total that has been sold.

This is not the first sentence for Ebay, due to sellers who would have no qualms about cheating their customers. As a matter of fact, just few weeks ago the famous fashion house Hermes also denounced the popular website for the same reasons being able to gain a similar sentence.

The National Chamber of Italian Fashion took part to the worldwide tobacco-free day
The commitment has been honoured by creating a bag, available in two different colours, blue and red, signed by all members of the association, included Giglio, whose incomes have been given to charity.

After the recent trunk show for the new Cesare Paciotti’ s collection, a new event organized by the GIGLIO team is involving this time the publishing sector and, particularly, the world of fashion.

Not just this is the content of Fabiana Giacomotti ’s “Mix & chic” brand new book, by Cairo Edition, which will be presented, in collaboration with the famous editor, in our Giglio In fashion store on Monday 16 of June 2008 from 18.30pm. The author herself is going to introduce her book to the public, and during the evening she will leave the floor to Rosy Ardizzone, Federico Giglio and Giuseppe Sottile.

This is THE event organized by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, whose protagonist is, twice a year, man fashion. Four days, from the 21st to the 24th of June 2008, entirely dedicated to the Milan Man Fashion Spring Summer collection 2009. On stage, as usual, all the best of Italian and not only Italian brands with their collections for men with names like Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Gianfranco Ferrè, Prada, Gucci….
21st of June: Versace
22nd of June: Frankie Morello, Gianfranco Ferrè, Roberto Cavalli, Emporio Armani, Prada.
23third of June: Gucci, John Richmond.
24 of June: Iceberg, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna, Belstaff

Great success on Friday night for the trunk show, that took place in our fashion store GIGLIO IN, for the new Fall/ Winter collection “4US” by Cesare Paciotti.  With an exceptional guest living up the party, Manuela Arcuri, a mini fashion show introduced the clothing collection that for the occasion was represented by Marco Calcinaro, representative manager of the Paciotti S.p.A. .

Among excellent music, cocktails, champagne and toasts the beautiful Manuela Arcuri took the breath away from all the guests who were present and photographed her many and many times.

And the biggest success above all was for the new “4US” collection by Paciotti,  the real protagonist of the evening, that reconfermed itself as a leading brand in the field of casual fashion and apparel thanks to its contemporary, sporty, dynamic but also sparkling and feisty mood.

A big event is taking place today, 23 May, at our fashion store GIGLIO IN.  It is the presentation of the 2009 Fall Winter apparel collection by Cesare Paciotti.

Characterized by the fusion between exceptional quality, style and elegance the brand Paciotti is considered since its beginning as one of the best representatives of the Italian flavour.  Of most recent creation in respect to the well-known footwear collection, the clothes collection has gained a great success in the section of casual and sports fashion.

The party, organized for the occasion of the presentation of the collection dedicated to the following season, will take the way at 19,00 and it will be accompanied with a lot of entertaining moments, music and the presence of a special guest.  We are talking about the famous Italian actress, Manuela Arcuri, known for her exceptional beauty and queen of Italian fiction televition.

Another premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, another red carpet.  Also this time we take a look at the most interesting looks of the stars who crossed the red carpet.

For the premiere of the film Blindness Eva Longoria chose a turquoise dress by Versace.  For the presentation of Kung Fu Panda she chose to wear an fairy-tale one shoulder dress in an ivory colour marked with silver detail and ending in tulle, from the summer 2008 collection again by Versace.  Definitely a red carpet style!

Lucy Liu on the other hand chose a dress by Roberto Cavalli. The dress is a creation from the Fall 2008 collection with enriching flower embroidery.

Also at the premiere, the beautiful Indian actress, Aishwarya Rai,  chose a luxurious embroided dress by Giorgio Armani.

The 61st edition of the Cannes Film Festival has officially opened and has started off with the premiere of the movie ‘Blindness’ as its first event.  Crossing the red carpet were a lot of celebrities that have come to show off their marvelous out-fits.  There are a lot of designer names that have been awarded the preferance of the actresses and the celebrities that have participated in the Cannes Film Festival in their creations.

Among these a radiant Eva Longoria has shown off a lively turquouise coloured dress from the Spring Summer collection by Versace Couture.  In Versace the model Bar Refaeli as well.

Mischa Barton, at Cannes to promote her new film ‘You and I’, has participated in the premiere of the movie ‘Blindness’ wearing a dark indigo coloured silk dress from the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2008 collection.

And we conclude with the queen of the event, or better yet the protagonist of the film ‘Blindness’, Cate Blanchett who wore, for the occasion, a creation by Giorgio Armani composed from soft and voluminous rouches gathered in a bouquet on the shoulder.
