Tomorrow, November 20, the movie-documentary “Valentino – The Last Emperor” will come out in Italian theatres. The movie is directed by Matt Tyrnauer, Vanity Fair and GQ journalist who has followed Valentino for years with his camera.
The picture, presented during the last edition of Venice Film Festival, deals with the career of the world-renewed Valentino Garavani and has already been a real success in United States. The movie is object of lots of consents for its nomination at the Oscars.
Both the movie and its eventual nomination are a well-deserved celebration of the exceptional work of one of the premium designers bringing Italian Fashion worldwide.

Another success for Charlize Theron who carries on hitting the target showing off a splendid queen style on the red carpet.
After the presentation of the movie documentary “Valentino: The Last Emperor” a nice party took place, and actress Charlize Theron attended the party wearing one of Frida Giannini creations from the fall winter 2008/09 Gucci collection. No need to say she looked stunning!

We have already been talking about Valentino featuring at the Venezia Film Festival.
Yesterday, as a matter of fact, the movie documentary “Valentino the Last Emperor” has been presented at La Fenice theatre in Venice. The director of the movie is Vanity Fair journalist Matt Tyrnauer who dedicated the movie to the famous designer.
The Italian designer attended the premier with model Eva Erzigova who wore a Valentino dress from the spring 2008 haute couture collection for the occasion.

It’s been few months since Valentino, internationally famous designer for generations, delegated the artistic direction of his maison to young Alessandra Facchinetti.
Instead of saying goodbye to the world of fashion forever, Valentino carried on being interested to his vocation thanks to many commitments he is involved with.
After the book “Valentino.Una grande storia Italiana” (Valentino. An important Italian history) Taschen Editors, after the show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, “Valentino, Thèmes et Variations” dedicated to him, it’s time for a cinematographic production.
“Valentino: The last Emperor”: this is the title of the movie documentary celebrating the career and the wit of the Italian designer, Valentino Gravani. The documentary has been directed by Matt Tyrnauer (journalist for Vanity Fair) and is going to be presented at the Venice show.
The movie is about Valentino, his style and elegance. The designer has been followed for two years by Matt Tyrnauer’s cameras, catching the most important moments of his professional and private life. Valentino himself said: “This is going to be a great honour for me, and an occasion to strengthen the link I have always had to the world of cinema”.

This is a consolidated proof of class, elegance and sofistication, all elements that this new guide has been able to keep. The collection carries out a graduation of colors going from grey through white and with pastel colors like yellow. Raffles are the leading motive of the collection where it is possible to appreciate on the blause, the high waisted gowns and trousers too, together with long night dresses in organza.

The Cannes Film Festival has concluded and has given us a myriad of fabulous red carpets, each of which we saw a parade of celebrities with dresses and accessories of the best designers of the international panorama.
As always the Italian designer labels have been selected from numerous stars who have worn the creations of the most prestigious designers like Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani… obviously other great international fashion houses are not missed among which one of the preffered ones have been Christian Dior.

The designer Donatella Versace was also present at the event which decorations has been taken care of by the maison Versace.

The very beautiful Mila Jovovich, for the closing evening of this edition of the film festival, has chosen a turquouise dress by Versace.

Sean Penn, president of the jury for the assignment of the Gold Palm, wore a stylish tuxedo by Giorgio Armani.

It has only been in Italy for a short amount of time (on the Mya channel) and is the revelationary tv series of the year in the United States. Gossip Girl is an American Television shows that deals with the adventures of a group of teenagers that lives in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. If the newness in the panorama of american teen-drama is not the subject, then the wardrobes of the main characters are certainly noteworthy, as they flaunt episode after episode the clothes and accessories of the most important designers in international fashion.
In the first two pictures there are two bags, from the spring summer collection by Valentino, displayed on the arm of the young actress of the TV series. The Valentino Maison bag, in pleated leather and enhanced by the studs, and the other is the Valentino Couture bag made od interweaving leather. In the third image however appears the maxi-bag by Gucci of the Gucci Hysteria collection.
