Third woman’s collection by the young and talented Alessandra Facchinetti,  guiding the creative direction of the maison Valentino, the Resort 2009, shown few days ago. This is a consolidated proof of class, elegance and sofistication, all elements that this new guide has been able to keep. The collection carries out a graduation of colors going from grey through white and with pastel colors like yellow. Raffles are the leading motive of the collection where it is possible to appreciate on the blause, the high waisted gowns and trousers too, together with long night dresses in organza. 

A big event is taking place today, 23 May, at our fashion store GIGLIO IN.  It is the presentation of the 2009 Fall Winter apparel collection by Cesare Paciotti.

Characterized by the fusion between exceptional quality, style and elegance the brand Paciotti is considered since its beginning as one of the best representatives of the Italian flavour.  Of most recent creation in respect to the well-known footwear collection, the clothes collection has gained a great success in the section of casual and sports fashion.

The party, organized for the occasion of the presentation of the collection dedicated to the following season, will take the way at 19,00 and it will be accompanied with a lot of entertaining moments, music and the presence of a special guest.  We are talking about the famous Italian actress, Manuela Arcuri, known for her exceptional beauty and queen of Italian fiction televition.

Same dress, different celebrities. The outfit of the matter is a glimmering silver short Roberto Cavalli dress, worn by Mariah Carey for a gala presentation, held in New York in honor of the magazine Time and of its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The same dress, characterized with a metallic effect, had already been chosen by Heidi Klum for another event held in February in the city of Los Angeles. Sparkling results for both, you choose who wore it better!

On the 7 May, the third episode of “Stasera niente MTV” ( No MTV Tonight) was broadcasted, a show conducted by Ambra Angiolini.  The program, between veriety acts, interviews and entertaining moments, has alot to show off, in particular the dancing choreography of the Module Project, famous for its extremely distinctive style.  For the episode the dancers were dressed in costumes of designer Frankie Morello, a fashion label inspired by a young and lively mood and therefore its ful of life image is ideal for the group of dancers.

Tiny and discreet or big like soap bubbles,  colourful and lively or tone upon tone, the pois are printed on the dresses, the pants, the summer skirts, they brighten up the jackets and they are put on tops and jerseys like drops of water.

The pois are exploding in the Spring/Summer collections together with another evergreen, the sripes. A familiar print, especially in the beautiful seasons when they are suggested in the classic black and white or navy style (for understanding: the style of the cruise ships with the typical blue and white, and sometimes also red, colours) ending in a range of multicolours.

Geometries, ethnic inspirations, silhouette sometimes soft and flowing and other times tight-fitting to the body, give life to the creations of the new collection by Emilio Pucci played on the combination black and white.

Two classic and basic tones to inspire patterns that originate from the unique coloured prints created by the designer Emilio Pucci but, this time, are realized in a refined bi-coloured version.

Elegance and beauty are the words to rank the woman inspiring Alberta Ferretti. “Not usual women who knows how to manage the power of romanticism”, they are the women that inspire the designer who is thinking about ethereal beings, Olympus goddess, muses of ancient Greece, has created a Spring/Summer collection worthy of their divine beauty.

Peplum-dresses, soft tuniques, impalpable blouses, light petticoats gently wrap strict and sinuous silhouettes that are at the same time brushed by seductive drapery, pleats, flowing gatherings and embossed fabric.
Jais and crystals embellish the straps of the mini-dresses and are also fixed on the flowing fabrics that are gathered on the hip of modern revision of the peplum.

The dominant colours is that of the different tones of grey, emerald green, sand and gold, creating soft shades. The prints, like painting, reproduce ancient Greek statues, while the embroideries recreate the memory of the friezes of the Acropolis in Athens, a place of mythological muses and inspirations that still survive in our days.

In one of the occasions of the Grinzane Cinema Festival ( that is in it’s VI edition), that is taking place in Stresa, the actress Violante Placido was wearing a dress by Roberto Cavalli, in a Persian blue colour, with an opening in the front and a particular embroidered round neck-line.
