An important Italian history) Taschen Editors, after the show at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, “Valentino, Thèmes et Variations” dedicated to him, it’s time for a cinematographic production.“Valentino: The last Emperor”: this is the title of the movie documentary celebrating the career and the wit of the Italian designer, Valentino Gravani. The documentary has been directed by Matt Tyrnauer (journalist for Vanity Fair) and is going to be presented at the Venice show.The movie is about Valentino, his style and elegance. The designer has been followed for two years by Matt Tyrnauer’s cameras, catching the most important moments of his professional and private life. Valentino himself said: “This is going to be a great honour for me, and an occasion to strengthen the link I have always had to the world of cinema”.
