Today we meet Adriana the mexican blogger of Fake Leather.
Hi Adriana, tell us a little bit about yourself (who you are/what you do/where you’re from, etc.).
My name is Adriana Gastélum and I’m a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and fashion lover from Mexico.
How would you define your style?
Clean, edgy and sometimes classy, never old. I like ageless pieces you can wear year after year and coordinate them with trendy pieces like bags, shoes or a bright pattern.
How did you find your sense of style?
It’s pretty hard to say how I found it, I guess you find your style over the years trying new clothes and have a fair judgement of what looks good on you and what does not. I’ve always prefered a more sharp look because of my mom’s influence.
What inspired you to start a style blog? What motivates you to keep blogging?
Many friends told me my style was great so I started the blog especially for them, it keeps me motivated to know that many people in the world like my blog and leave me the sweetest comments!
When strangers find you and/or your style inspiring that is the best motivation.
How did you choose the name of your blog?
I had just bought a pair of faux leather leggings. I have no imagination.
What was the best comment you ever received from a reader?
I’ve received too many to choose one. I think it’s from a girl who told me that every morning she decided what to wear thinking on what I would wear.
Who/what inspires you?
Magazines, movies, art, Camille Co.
What are your favourite pieces in your wardrobe?
Right now, my Zara faux leather jacket and a pair of python pants.
What is your top fashion tip?
Always dress for your body type!
What advice do you have for new bloggers or people considering starting a blog?
Have lots of fun, do the things you love and be honest with yourself, don’t present to people a different person than what you really are. Be patience and with dedication you’ll see your work will start to pay off.

I’ll check my e-mail.
What is your favourite thing to do when not blogging?
Travel, going to the movies, shopping, eating out.
For you, what is the world’s most fashionable city?
Tokyo, you can find anything there!
How would you describe fashion in the city where you live?
I live in a small city where the fashion culture falls on brands like Hollister or Aeropostale and it’s pretty hard to find any true fashion. Thanks to my university I’m going to be transfered to Guadalajara, Mexico for a few months and I’ll be in fashion heaven.
